Seattle is a leader in international and domestic trade. As of 2010, the Port of Seattle was the 6th largest port in the entire United States in terms of TEU’s (twenty-foot equivalent units, a measurement used for shipping containers) handled, and the 7th largest port in all of North America. The Port needs solid progressive leadership focused on job creation, environmental protection, transparent operation, and accountable management.
