Create Family-Wage Jobs

The Port of Seattle is a major regional economic driver. The incumbent has talked a lot about jobs, but the record just doesn’t reflect results. No job was ever created by talk alone. I will focus on bringing family-wage jobs to the Port. More people working means a better quality of life for all of us.

Protect Our Environment

I am the only candidate for this position who supports passage of the Clean Ports Act, legislation that would help 87 million Americans who live near ports enjoy cleaner air and water. I will continue to be an advocate of this and other measures that protect our natural resources.

Accountability and Transparency

The Port relies on millions of our tax dollars every year. How those dollars are spent, where we make our investments, and what we’re getting in return should be open for all to see. I will fight to bring every transaction into the sunlight. Taxpayers deserve nothing less.
